• Share the list of literary devices that will be covered in the lesson. – Handouts with examples of literary devices
• Distribute the above handout with examples of each literary device to the students.

• Take each literary device one by one and explain its definition and purpose.
• Provide examples for each literary device and discuss how they add depth and creativity to a narrative.
• Encourage students to ask questions and provide examples if they have any.

• Divide the class into small groups or pairs.
• Provide each group with a short narrative prompt or story starter. (The short story is in the Notes section)
• Instruct the students to work together and incorporate at least three different literary devices into their narratives..

• Ask students to share their observations on how the use of literary devices enhanced the narratives.
• Discuss the effectiveness of each literary device in creating imagery, engaging the reader, and conveying meaning.

• In their project groups, ask students to read their own stories and think about how to incorporate literary devices in the same.
