Phase 2 Checklist

Phase 2: Students submit the following for Phase 2 of their Story Project

Due Date: September 15th 2026

    • Students will submit ANY ONE of their three stories.
    • The selected story must be written as a complete FIRST-PERSON NARRATIVE.
    • Students should refer to the exemplar stories in the Theme Document.

The final story should:

    • Be emotionally powerful and historically grounded
    • Use strong sensory details and voice
    • Keep the artefact central to the narrative
    • Be between 250–400 words

Students must also submit:

    • A photograph of the protagonist with the artefact
    • Proper citations for all secondary research used

 

At the end of the project: 

Students should complete this format separately for all three stories along with the photographs. 

The purpose of submitting one story in phase 2 is to ensure you are on the right track and receive feedback.
