Phase 2 Checklist

PHASE 2: PLEASE ADD THE FOLLOWING DIRECTLY TO THE PHASE 1 DOCUMENT ON G DRIVE.
DO NOT SUBMIT A SECOND DOCUMENT. UPON APPROVAL OF PHASE 2, STUDENTS CAN
START TESTING. STUDENTS CAN START BUILDING THEIR APP IN PARALLEL.  

THE PHASE 2 DOCUMENT IS MAINLY FOR US TO SEE YOUR DESIGN AND TESTING PLAN.

DEADLINE: Sept 30th 2025

  1. DESIGN
    a. Include all the features your app will have and how they will help solve the
    the problem you wanted to originally solve.
    b. Include sketches or images of design elements you are thinking about
  2. TIMELINE
    a. By when will your app be built?
    b. When will you start testing? How long will the first testing period last?
    c. Will you be making revisions based on the first round of testing? When will this
    happen? (Only if applicable but highly recommended)
    d. When will the second round of testing start and how long will it last (if
    applicable)
  3. SAMPLE SIZE: How many users will you test the app with? (Minimum is 30)
  4. TYPES OF DATA: What kind of data will you collect? Where will it be documented? Given
    below are some IDEAS. They may not apply to all types of apps or even to your app. YOU
    need to brainstorm and come up with your own list of what kind of data will help you
    understand if your app is useful or not. In other words, what kinds of data will allow you to
    state with CONFIDENCE that the app is USEFUL?
    – Testimonials through surveys or interviews
    – Frequency of usage (one-time versus repeated usage by the same person
    – Critical feedback/suggestions, etc.
    – No of downloads from the Google play store
  5. DATA COLLECTION TOOL: How will you collect this data? If you are using focus groups,
    interviews or surveys, please include the actual tool i.e. the questions you will ask.
    Please remember that design, testing and data analysis has to be completed before
    the final submission date
