Delegating duties and organizing data

Students distribute duties for data collections.

  • Time: 45 min
  • Plan:
Step 1: (10 min) Teacher explains any of the following organizers. Teacher can choose.

Step 2: (40 min) In project groups, Every student will fill out the chosen organizer for himself/herself after discussion. A deadline MUST be set for each task.

Please do this ONLY after you have made revisions as per feedback by CaL team.

 

Step 1: (5 min) In their groups, ask students to take out their data collection TOOL (interview questions, surveys, experimental design sheet, observation sheet, etc.). Give them a couple of minutes to review it.

Step 2: (35 min): Depending on the type of data they are collecting, ask students to discuss the questions given in the table below and note down their answers. Please walk around the room and help them. Ensure you APPROVE of their plan before they start data collection.

Step 3: (15 min) After the discussion students make a list of all the tasks they need to complete before data collection. Each student fill out the given organizer for himself/herself. A deadline MUST be set for each task.
